The Silver Lining:
  • We have been on a roll with our debt snowball, we really started getting serious about paying off our debts starting January 2013 and have paid off approximately $12,000! Woo Hoo!
  • We don't have any car loans (own our pieces of junk outright, and it feels sooo good)
  • We don't have a mortgage, right now gives us more freedom and no extra expenses that go along with owning a house.
  • I have a locked-in job for the next 3 years (unless I turn into a ball of mush and stop doing my job it is unlikely I would ever get kicked-out of residency), and the hubs just got a full-time job!
  • I'll likely be making a decent 6 figure salary after all my education, only 3 more years! (9 years of school and 4 years of residency all since graduating high school, it's been a long road).
